The number of e-mails from religious fear mongers is really getting outrageous.  It's almost as though the former prosperity teachers now see a new angle in reaching their faithful.  Fear has replace greed or maybe it's still a matter of having the "most."  Perhaps the message hasn't changed so much as simply the "temporal stuff reward."  Instead of a new car and big house, it's now deemed a "blessing" to have the biggest survival bunker!
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.  Luke 12:32

In reading this post, you have to wonder if these messages can be from G-d because I kept thinking about the Scripture that I found in 2Timothy 1:7 that says "For G-d has not given us the spirit fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."  Sounds like HE will equip us with what we need to do the job and HE has already given us the Instructions.

Actually, according to Scripture, fear of anything but YHVH is idolatry.  And we know how G~D regards idolatry!  Fear-mongering is one more avenue of a charlatan.  Clearly the "money is blessing" teaching won't hang on through this economy, so it's time to start selling something else the same crowd will buy.  For whatever reason, American Christians seem to enjoy having something of this world to fear.  Just wait til the church book stores start selling survival gear with catchy little Biblical names . . . and big price tags.

Anything from the modestly priced Jonah in a fish kit all the way up to Noah's Ark luxury kit?

I was kind of thinking along the lines of including some popular teachings with the sale.
For the low end basic investors: "freeze dried locusts & honey."
The moderate range do it yourselfers, something along the lines of "Birth-right lentil soup mix for 2, just add water, heat and negotiate"
And for the "name it and claim it" "blab it and grab it" Word of Faith folks, "2 fishes, 5 loaves and speak it into being for the multiplication!"
